How it all started - Q_PERIOR Social Challenges:
- This Charity Bike & Run to Nepal was founded as one of many "Social Challenges" within Q_PERIOR AG in 2021.
- Due to its 10th anniversary, Q_PERIOR decided to offer all employees a "Time- and Money-Budget" of one day and 100 EUR each for a Social Challenge - to create a positive impact in the society and our environment!
- Passionately volunteering for Long Yang e.V. with all my heart for over 2 years besides my work at Q_PERIOR, I had the idea of supporting our NGO right from the beginning.
- With the Q_PERIOR Charity Bike & Run to Nepal the idea was born to "move to move something bigger".
- Practically that means, we support activities of Long Yang e.V. in Nepal which mainly focus on health, education and women empowerment.
- The aim beyond is, to support health of others by doing sth. good for our own health.
- And as we are a motivated and active QPERIs, we set us the "tiny" goal to literally make it from Munich to Nepal by our motion and run/bike 7700km in total!
- Thus we organised several Q_PERIOR Charity Bike & Runs within Germany and Suisse during the summer 2021.
- Thanks to Q_PERIOR, we get a company-funding of 100 EUR per every participating employee!
About Long Yang e.V.:
- Under the motto "Preserving Ancient Wisdom", Long Yang e.V. has been working for over 20 years to improve access to health, education, sustainable development and the empowerment of women in Nepal.
- The main activity is the establishment of the Akasha Academy - a training institute for holistic healing and education based on universal ethics.
- As I am directly involved in the development and conduct of the education programms in Nepal, I can give first hand insights to our participants and ensure that the funding goes 100% and directly to the projects in Nepal.
Can I still support?
- Yes! The Charity Bike & Run continues until the end of the year - so every motivated employee (as well as family and friends) can still participate!
- We are happy and thankful for everyone who wants to support, financially and with kilometers.
- For financial support you can either make a funding here privately and/or if you work for Q_PERIOR you can also contact me and use your Social-Challenge-Budget of 100 EUR, if you did not use it for any other Social Challenge so far.
