Support local farmers and producers in Beirut

The economic and political situation in Lebanon was already critical before the Beirut Port explosion that killed 200 people and injured around 6500. Currently, it has become even more difficult for local people to survive,  especially the small businesses, local farmers and producers that depend solely on the distribution of their goods to cover their running costs and feed their families.
Le Passeport Culinaire in Beirut Lebanon is currently working on a new initiative called LPCS, which is the abbreviation for Land, People and Cuisine for sustainability. The initiative includes the development of an interactive map to directly connect local producers in rural and urban areas with end consumers, cutting and shortening the supply chain to create a more sustainable environment for the local communities. People on the go can access the map and reach the producers with full descriptions and pictures about the products offered, the farm, the exact location and the type of activity offered by the farmer or producer (guest house, guest table, etc...)
