Save Cologne Tamil Studies
About INR 1.25 crore (Euro € 137500) is urgently needed by March 2021 to extend the post of lecturer till the year 2022 to continue teaching Tamil studies and to keep the library active.
In view of the urgency of this request, we humbly request that the research and teaching work of this department be funded.
The funds will be used for the continuation of the following.
About INR 1.25 crore (Euro € 137500) is urgently needed by March 2021 to extend the post of lecturer till the year 2022 to continue teaching Tamil studies and to keep the library active.
In view of the urgency of this request, we humbly request that the research and teaching work of this department be funded.
The funds will be used for the continuation of the following.
- Development of material for teaching “Tamil as a Foreign Language (TaFL)” according to European framework
- Teaching of Tamil at the University of Cologne
- Conducting field research and annual Summer Schools (language & culture) in Pondicherry (India),
- Maintenance of the library with 40000+ Tamil books at the University
The funds collected through this effort will be used towards the Tamil Lecturer position.
