TDR2020 - GG Adventures - Deutschland Rally

Liebe Community,

Was für ein Jahr! 

Wir, das Team „GG Adventures“ (Denis und Sven), wollten dieses Jahr eigentlich eine Charity Rallye rund um die Ostsee fahren – In einem 20 Jahre alten Auto, ohne Autobahn und Navi und das für einen guten Zweck. Dann kam Corona und große Events und Reisen durch halb Europa waren passé. Aber so wie viele von Euch Pläne ändern mussten, lassen auch wir uns davon nicht entmutigen - aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben! Daher fahren wir die Rallye nun 2021 und werden Teach First Deutschland für mehr Bildung in Deutschland entlang des Weges unterstützen. 

Bis zum Start ist es noch ewig – leider.  Daher haben wir uns kurzerhand entschieden, das Equipment – und insbesondere die Besatzung – einem spontanen Härtetest zu unterziehen und die Deutschland Rallye mit immerhin 3.000km Strecke mitzufahren. Ein 20 Jahre alter Land Rover Discovery in der Police-Edition (#BluesBrothers) steht bereit und wartet auf seinen Einsatz! Die Reise findet natürlich unter strenger Beachtung der Hygienevorschriften und mit vollem Co2-Ausgleich statt :)

Auch bei dieser Aufwärmübung wollen wir Geld für einen guten Zweck einsammeln: Für den Förderverein der Grundschule am Agilolfingerplatz in München. Der Verein unterstützt mit seiner wertvollen Arbeit verschiedene Projekte wie zum Beispiel finanzielle Hilfe für bedürftige Familien, Projektwochen zu verschiedenen Themen, Gewaltprävention und kulturelles Engagement.  

Nachdem das Sommerfest des Vereins corona-bedingt ausfallen musste, herrscht Ebbe in der Kasse, die wir mit unserer und Eurer Hilfe gemeinsam beenden wollen! Wir freuen uns über Eure Unterstützung und bedanken uns hierfür schon jetzt!

Dear Community,

What a year it has been so far!

Originally, we (Denis & Sven = Team GG Adventures) aimed for  participating in a charity car rallye - the Baltic Sea Circle – to support Teach First Germany! 

7.500km around the Baltic Sea crossing 10 countries in 16 days in a 20 years old car, without highways and no electronic navigation support. Then Covid-19 kicked in and everything fell apart – including our plan... Though changing plans is painful, giving up was never an option for us (“no retreat, no surrender”) and we will go for the adventure in 2021! 

But wait a minute...it's 2020 and there is almost one year left till the race starts. And should that 20 years old Land Rover Discovery in the Police Edition (nope, not the band) really sit and wait for almost another year?! We therefore decided to spontaneously join the "The Deutschland Rallye" as a warm-up for next year – 3.000km across Germany in October seem just perfect to test the equipment…and get us in shape... Of course, we will strictly follow local hygiene rules and drive fully Co2 neutral :).

This will also be a Charity Rallye for which we seek your support. With the money collected, we will support the friends’ association of a local elementary school in Munich. They help families in need, sponsor projects for various topics, conduct educational sessions on how to prevent violence while also engaging in cultural events. 

In normal times, their main source of income is the summer event which got cancelled due to Covid-19. Hence, every cent counts for them to continue their great work – this is where you come into the picture and can help us supporting this great initiative with a little donation!
