My birthday wish - let’s help fight cancer

My birthday is coming up - and as many others, I had to change my original plans. No travels, no big party or alike. 

However, these times have taught me once again how lucky I am to be safe and healthy with great friends and family (even if many of you are far away), having all I need. 

Therefore - I don't want any (!) presents this year, but instead I'd like to open this fundraiser for my birthday. As many of you know, cancer has hit family and friends around me in the past and the fight against it is worth every cent. I'd be grateful for your contribution - every donation counts.

Mein Geburtstag steht vor der Tür. Leider musste ich meine eigentlichen Pläne ändern. Es wird keine große Reise geben - und auch keine rauschende Party. 

Allerdings haben mich die letzten Wochen auch gelehrt, dass ich mich glücklich schätzen kann. Mir gehts gut, ich bin gesund, habe tolle Freunde und Familie (wenn auch zum Teil weit weg) und damit wirklich alles, was ich brauche.

Ich bitte Euch deshalb, dieses Jahr auf jegliche Geschenke zu verzichten (und ja, das meine ich wirklich so) und stattdessen über eine Spende nachzudenken. Auch in meinem Umfeld hat Krebs leider zu oft eine traurige Rolle gespielt - und deshalb ist es mir ein persönliches Anliegen, etwas dagegen zu tun.
