EVERESTING THE BROCKEN
Our Ocean Charity Ride is way too long ago and due to the worldwide pandemic, we can’t do another bikepacking trip just yet.
Corona is a crazy time but we are lucky enough to be well and healthy. We wanted to use this time to give back and raise some money for those who need it.
THE CHALLENGE
So Pascal thought about what crazy thing he could push through...
CLIMBING THE EVEREST ON HIS BIKE was the stupid idea he came up with.
Well not the Everest Everest but at least the 8848 meter of elevation of the Everest. All we need is a “mountain” within our ‘legal’ reach. So obviously we decided for the highest mountain in north Germany: THE BROCKEN. Since the Brocken has an elevation of only 1141 meter we needed to be smart about a starting point to get as much elevation in as little distance as possible. His route is now a 520meter ascent on 10km so he'll have to do that trip 17 times + an extra 8meters to climb the Everest.
WHEN?
We'll start in the night on Friday the 8th and finish Saturday evening.

THE CAUSE
Thanks to betterplace.org and it's complete transparency you'll be able to see where the donations are going and receive a Spendenbescheinigung.
With the money we raise we would love to support the following projects:
Hamburg | Budnianer Hilfe E.v.
Many people are in great need due to the Corona crisis. Every euro helps to provide families, children and homeless people in and around Hamburg with the most necessary supplies.

My brother made us aware of this cause as he himself is in a wheelchair and met Heiko and his initiative through his podcast Hobby Querschnitt .
Rollstuhlerlebnisse offer people with disabilities a free 4-day trip to Hamburg to explore the cultural life of the city together.
Worldwide | Corona Nothilfe weltweit - Aktion Deutschland hilft
The coronavirus has taken control of our lives around the world. The poorest countries are hit particularly hard and are in desperate need of support. Our alliance is expanding measures to combat the corona virus.
