“Run, Jan, run 🤗.”
What’s it about
People who have Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease may experience tumors and/or cysts in different parts of the body, including the brain, spine, eyes, kidneys, pancreas, adrenal glands, inner ears and reproductive tract.
My son (4 years) and my daughter (2 years) are affected by VHL which is a genetic condition effecting only 1 in 36,000 people.
My son (4 years) and my daughter (2 years) are affected by VHL which is a genetic condition effecting only 1 in 36,000 people.
A rare disease like VHL is barely known and gets only very limited research funding.
With the charity half-marathon run, I hope to increase the awareness of Von Hippel-Lindau disease (VHL) and at the same time raise some money to at least marginally improve the funding of the research dedicated to this disease.
