What’s it about
Drinking water comes from the tap – or doesn't it?
Over the course of the Formula 1 season the trackside team travels to many destinations in the world. One of the things that are noticeable different to home is the tap water quality. In fact, in some parts of the world you're not advised drinking tap water. Experiencing the lack of clean water does bring the importance of clean water to your attention. Hence, we invite you to join us to make our contribution to improve the situation.
To make it a challenge the team commonly decided that over the course of the Formula 1 season, the Shell Motorsport Team will be running/walking/cycling the distance between our technology center in Hamburg and the Ferrari factory in Maranello on the circuits. That's 1004,96 km on the race track in aid of clean water.

The decision has been made to support the Hamburg based non-profit organization VIVA CON AGUA de Sankt Pauli e.V in their clean water initiatives.
Please join us in our efforts with your donation.
