Hoffnung für Menschen in Not

Kinderhandel, Kinderpornografie und Kinderprostitution haben sich zu riesigen Märkten entwickelt. Schätzungsweise werden in Asien jährlich eine Million Mädchen und Jungen für das Geschäft ausgebeutet. 

Der UN-Studie über Gewalt gegen Kinder zufolge werden jährlich  1,8 Millionen Kinder zur Prostitution und Pornografie  gezwungen und 1,2 Millionen wie Ware verkauft. Außerdem werden etwa 150 Millionen Mädchen und 73 Millionen Jungen unter 18 Jahren Opfer sexueller Gewalt - in der Familie, in der Schule, in ihrem Wohnquartier, in Gefängnissen, an ihrem Arbeitsplatz. 

 

 Ausbeutung 

152 Millionen Kinder und Jugendliche arbeiten nach aktuellen Schätzungen der Internationalen Arbeitsorganisation (ILO) unter Bedingungen, die mit den Kinderrechten nicht vereinbar sind und sie ihrer Chancen berauben. Demzufolge ist fast jedes 10. Kind auf der Welt ein Kinderarbeiter. 

Man muss Europa eigentlich nicht verlassen, um Kinderarbeiter zu finden oder Menschen zu begegnen, die aus eigener Erfahrung darüber berichten können. In der Asien-Pazifik-Region gibt es jedoch die größte Anzahl arbeitender Kinder - 78 Millionen laut Schätzungen, vermutlich in Wirklichkeit noch mehr. In Afrika südlich der Sahara ist der Anteil arbeitender Kinder am größten - etwa  jedes fünfte Kind ist betroffen und dazu ist die Hälfte aller Kinderarbeiter (48 Prozent) übrigens sehr jung, nämlich zwischen 5 und 11 Jahre alt. 

 

Für manche unvorstellbar, jedoch trifft das Millionen von Menschen. Dabei zählen nicht nur die großen, sondern auch die kleinen Taten.

Jetzt stell dir noch einmal vor, du lebst unter diesen Bedingungen und niemand möchte dir helfen obwohl du ganz genau weißt auf der Welt gibt es Menschen die dir helfen könnten. Hättest du dann noch Hoffnung in deinem Leben?
 

Ich werde mit der Hilfsorganisation HopeforLife gGmbH http://www.burmahilfe.de/ für ein Jahr nach Ghana gehen, um dort mit Kindern zu arbeiten. Das Geld, was ich sammeln möchte ist für diese Organisation. Sie unterstützt  jährlich Freiwillige aus Deutschland, damit wird in Entwicklungsländern mitwirken können. 

Das Geld geht auch an die  Kinder die unter den oben genannten Bedingungen leben müssen. 

Es ist wichtig über unseren eigenen Tellerrand zuschauen und Menschen,die keine Hoffnung als Anker und Sicherheit im Leben haben, zu helfen.

Imagine being born into a place where fear is the most important role in your life. Fear of starvation, rape, dying, a kind of fear most people can not imagine. Imagine that you are simply thrown into such a life. "Why me?" A terrible feeling, I can imagine.
Why all those countless innocent children?

Destroyed childhood 

Child trafficking, child pornography and child prostitution have grown into huge markets.  It is estimated that in Asia alone, one million girls and boys are exploited annually. 

 According to the UN study on violence against children, 1.8 million children are forced into prostitution and pornography every year, and 1.2 million are sold like commodities.  In addition, around 150 million girls and 73 million boys under the age of 18 are victims of sexual violence – at home, at school, in their neighborhood, in prisons and at work. 

 

 Exploitation 

 According to current estimates by the International Labor Organization (ILO), 152 million children and adolescents work under conditions that are completely conflicting with children's rights, depriving them of basic human prospects.  As a result, almost every 10th child in the world is a child laborer. 

In fact, one does not have to leave Europe to find child laborers or meet people who have experienced these harsh realities. In recent studies, estimates suggested that 2,375 children were registered as victims of human trafficking, in reality these figures are much higher. 

These figures are completely dwarfed by the Asia-Pacific region that has the largest number of working children - 78 million according to estimates, probably more in reality.  In sub-Saharan Africa, the proportion of working children is highest - about every fifth child is affected, and half of all child workers (48 percent) are very young, between 5 and 11 years old. 

 

For some, this is unimaginable, for millions of others, this is an unquestionable reality. It is not only the big but also the small acts that count. 

Now imagine again, you live in these conditions and nobody wants to help you although you know very well in the world there are people who could help you. Would you still have hope in your life?
I will go to Ghana with the relief organization, HopeforLife GmbH for a year to work with children.  The money I want to collect will be used by this organization to support volunteers from Germany who want to make a difference in these developing countries. 

A large sum of money will also go to the children who have to live under the conditions mentioned above. 

It is important to look beyond our own box, to help people who have no hope, giving them an anchor and safety in life.
