What’s it about

Team MapleKlotz - Without GPS and Navi for a good cause
10 countries, 7.500km without GPS and Navi in 16 days and then still doing something good? Laurence and Hannes say, it works.
Out of good friendship and the desire for adventure, we (Laurence Leone and Johannes Stein) decided to take part in the BSC Rally Midsummer 2019.
For a good cause we drive with 250 other teams approx. 7,500 km around the Baltic Sea and cross 10 countries, including Russia, within the scope of the rally. Here it is besides the fastest way also the goal to collect as high a sum as possible (at least 750€) for a good cause. Our donations go, as already 2016, to the marine protection of the organization Deepwave e.V.
This organisation has been working for marine protection since 2003. They have made it their task:
- to raise awareness about the dangers of the oceans
- exert political pressure to remedy the causes
- promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge, and
- provide a forum for information exchange and networking.
As in the successful 2016 Rally, our faithful vehicle will again be our Audi 100, whose speedometer recently cracked the 300,000km mark!
