What’s it about
This year Kerala state in India have witnessed biggest floods in its history. More than 300 lives have lost, more than 800,000 people are displaced.
All the families in tribal regions lost everything including children learning material. As most of the families have very less means of livelihood, buying learning materials are the last thing families want to do.
Funds through Marathon fundraising will be utilised to provide living(dress, footwear, bedding) and learning materials (books, note books, stationary) for the children. There are about 200 children and the yearly expense for one child is INR 18000 (approx. € 220).
With support from all of you, I would like to provide support for 5 children. Every small amount counts.
Apart from helping the children to get back to school as soon as possible after devastating floods, through this project we would like to show solidarity to the people in the remote region that they are not alone.
Thank you so much.
