What’s it about

Over the last few years, I've let my hair get pretty long.  My beard too.  Some of you think it's all way too long, and I get tired of it too sometimes.

On a completely different topic, two people close to me have suffered from cancer recently.  I'm so happy that, with the help of excellent support systems and medical care, they have been able to make full recoveries, but not everyone is so lucky.  For some, cancer also represents a serious financial hardship.

I've thought for a while that when my hair gets long enough, I might donate it to make a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to cancer treatments.  If you think that's cool, or funny, or just that it's about time that it finally happens, I'd appreciate your support by donating a bit of money to the Härtefonds der Deutschen Krebshilfe to provide support to cancer patients In financial need during their treatments.

Cutting day is Wednesday, October 17.  I'll be sure to post before, during and after pictures.  The beard is going too, but no, they don't accept that for donations :)

Thanks!
