OUR MISSION:
We believe that every crisis around the world where children are in need deserves equal attention. We need to help these children that need it the most, regardless of media coverage or political motivations. Some crises remain completely unknown for people from the developed countries. Some get much media attention. But when the camera moves away, it disappears from our news feed. Though crisis itself doesn’t disappear. It stays and children still need support.

While the immediate crisis response with life saving measures needs to happen first, we believe that all 3 dimensions - survival, protection and learning - are equally important. Still we are convinced that education of children is a key pillar in making a lasting impact. We would like to give kids an opportunity to start or reengage in their education and build a foundation for a brighter future for themselves but also for future generations of children. 

WHO WE ARE?
We are a group of 5 MBA students at WHU in Düsseldorf. As part of the program we are participating in the Future Leaders Fundraising Challenge. With our above defined believes and our motivation to support in children in need we are convinced that “Save the Children” is supporting our mission in the best possible way. That’s why we are very happy that all of the funds raised during will be dedicated to their campaign “Help Children in Forgotten Crises”. 


DO DONORS GET A DONATION RECEIPT?
Every donor will receive a donation receipt in time for their tax declaration. All receipts will be issued by the Betterplace.org. For donations above 50€ made by organizations donation receipts will be issued automatically within 3-4 weeks after receiving the donation in the Save the Children bank account. For donations of <50€ made by organizations and any donations made by individuals, donation receipt will be issued in January 2019 for all donations made in 2018.


WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THE PROCEEDS DIRECTLY SUPPORT SAVE THE CHILDREN'S PROJECTS?
84% of all donations received directly support the projects and programs aiming to help the kids. The remaining costs are needed to cover administrative expenses.  Note: Betterplace has recently started retaining 2,5% of every donation in order to cover bank fees.

UNSER ZIEL: 

Wir wollen Spendengelder sammeln um Kindern in Not zu unterstützen und einen nachhaltigen Beitrag für ihre Zukunft zu leisten. 

UNSERE MISSION: 

Wir teilen die Auffassung, dass jede Krise, von der Kinder betroffen sind, die gleiche Aufmerksamkeit bedarf, unabhängig von der Region. Wir müssen diesen Kindern helfen, auch unabhängig von medialer Aufmerksamkeit oder politischen Interessen. Einige dieser Krisen bleiben sogar völlig im Verborgenen für Einwohner von Industrienationen. Einige bekommen eine große mediale Aufmerksamkeit, die jedoch schnell wieder nachlässt. Die Krisen lassen jedoch nicht so schnell wieder nach - sie bleiben und die Kinder brauchen weiterhin Unterstützung. 

Auch wenn die unmittelbare Nothilfe nach einem Katastrophenfall zuerst erfolgen muss, so sind wir doch überzeugt, dass die nachhaltige Schulbildung von Kindern eine der wichtigsten Säulen von Hilfsleistungen ist und das Fundament legt für eine bessere Zukunft für die kommenden Generationen von Kindern. Wir möchten daran mitwirken, dieses Fundament zu legen und eine nachhaltige Entwicklung zu befördern - angefangen bei den grundlegendsten Bedürfnissen wie Ernährung und Überleben. 

WER WIR SIND 

 Wir sind eine Gruppe von fünf MBA Studenten an der WHU in Düsseldorf. Als Teil des Wirtschaftsstudiums nehmen wir an der Future Leaders Fundraising Challenge teil. Mit unserer oben genannten Motivation Kinder in Not zu unterstützen, sind wir überzeigt, dass "Save the Children" unsere Mission im bestmöglichen Weg unterstützt. Daher sind wir sehr glücklich, dass die im Rahmen dieser Challenge gesammelten Spendengelder dem Zweck "Vergessene Krisen: Jetzt Kindern helfen!" zukommen.

 
 
 SPENDENBESCHEINIGUNG 

Für alle Spenden stellt BetterPlace.org eine offizielle Spendenquittung aus. Für alle Spenden von Institutionen oberhalb von 50 EUR werden diese üblicherweise innerhalb von 3-4 Wochen nach Eingang der Spende ausgestellt. Alle übrigen Spenden, von privaten sowie institutionellen Spendern erhalten eine Spendenquittung im Januar 2019. 

 

WELCHER TEIL MEINER SPENDE KOMMT BEI DEN KINDERN IN KRISEN-REGIONEN AN? 

 84% der Spendengelder die Save the Children erhält kommen direkt dem Spendenzweck zugute. Der Rest wird für administrative Kosten aufgewendet. Hinweis: Betterplace hat eine Bearbeitungsgebühr von 2,5% auf jede Spende eingeführt, die bei Abschluss der Spendenaktion von der Gesamtsumme abgezogen wird.
