What’s it about
Every Year, we change the lives of three hundred youth, by giving them opportunity to become self employed and employable. We do so by including them in the digital economy through a skill acquisition, mentoring and business incubation program that runs for 6months, twice a year. 50% of these youths are female and 50% male. 50% of Youth must be selected from underprivileged, vulnerable, discriminated and marginalized communities like orphans, physically challenged, drug users on rehabilitation, school dropouts, just freed prisoners etc. The training is focused on innovation and entrepreneurship with specialties in graphic design, serigraphy, web design, photography and media production, digital marketing and software development. Each fellow is subscribed to the JONGO academy online global learning for further skill acquisition. We then provide seed capital to the most, outstanding, scalable, fundable, impact making and feasible emerging entrepreneurs from the cohort of fellows. The rest of entrepreneurs are transferred to a partner job search and career orientation center where their chances to gain rewarding employment is high.
I use betterplace.org because:
Donating on betterplace.org is straightforward and secure. Afterwards I pass the money we’ve raised on to the relevant aid projects.
I do this in Commemoration of the Global week of Creativity and Innovation running from 15th to 21st of April 2018.
