What’s it about
Sometimes, I stop and wonder how I can give back to the world. Today, I run and know I'm making a difference. I hate running. But.
I'm inspired by all the efforts that lead to creating a sustainable community and equal chances for everyone. This is why I wanted to support the work of Street Child by raising money as part of my participation in Nepal International Marathon 2017.
On November 18th I will be taking part in a charity marathon in Nepal. I will be running with Street Child charity, but also visiting their projects and helping out the regular volunteers. It is an organisation that started working in Nepal after the earthquakes in 2015. They rebuild schools, making sure the children have access to them and improving life of local communities. One example of that is building a pipeline to bring running water to a village which, during rainy season, is completely cut off (the roads are made of mud, so they “melt” with heavy rains).
I would like to ask as many people as possible to donate a minimum amount (which is 1 euro) to help Street Child’s efforts.
A little can go a long way:
- £30 is enough to send a child to school for a year
- £50 provides a family with a business grant
- £150 is enough to provide a whole class in Nepal with an early development kit giving them the best possible start at school.
Please join me by donating the minimum amount using the 'Donate now' button.
You're welcome to make multiple donations if you want to contribute more, but as a community, making a sustainable, shared, and equal donation enables us to go further, together.
Think butterfly effect rather than Bruce Wayne.
