What’s it about
Wir laufen von LA nach Las Vegas - für Wasser in Äthiopien! Wir laufen. Wir laufen 550km. Wir laufen von LA nach Las Vegas. Wir laufen Tag und Nacht durch die Wüste - und das Ganze für Wasser in Äthiopien. Geboren wurde `TheSpeedProject´ vor 3 Jahren mit der Herausforderung 6 Läufer an ihre körperlichen und mentalen Grenzen zu bringen und dabei einen neuen Rekord zu setzen.
In diesem Jahr vereinen sich 20 Teams aus der ganzen Welt um diese Strecke ebenfalls zu meistern. Eines davon sind wir. Unser Team aus Berlin vereint 6 völlig unterschiedliche Persönlichkeiten, die die Leidenschaft zum Laufen und den Hang zum Extremen hier verbindet. Gleichzeitig bestand bei uns allen der Wunsch diese wahnsinnige Aktion zu nutzen um auf ein wichtiges Thema aufmerksam zu machen. Und was ist wichtiger als WASSER?...nicht nur bei einem Lauf durch die Wüste.
Über 640 Millionen Menschen weltweit haben derzeit keinen Zugang zu sauberem Trinkwasser. Wie kann das sein? Gemeinsam mit Viva Con Agua wollen wir hier anpacken und ein Wasserprojekt in Äthiopien unterstützen. Dafür wollen wir mit unserer Teilnahme bei dem Lauf Spenden sammeln.
Jeder Euro hilft. Wir laufen - ihr spendet!
Wieviel Spenden wir hier zusammentreiben können wissen wir nicht, aber eines können wir euch versprechen - WIR LAUFEN SO SCHNELL WIR KÖNNEN!!!

SPREAD THE WORD!
We run. We run 550k. We will run from LA to Vegas. We will run day and night through the dessert – for water in Ethiopia. The Speed Project was found three years ago with the new challenge to push six runners beyond their boundaries, test their physical and mental limits and set a new speed record. This year 20 teams from across the world will be facing the same challenge – we are one of them. Our Berlin team unites six completely different personalities, who´s main connection is the passion for running as well as a strong penchant for the extreme.
At the same time we all wanted to use this insane project to draw attention to an important topic – and what is more important than WATER? Not only if you are running through the dessert. More than 640 million people don´t have access to clean drinking water. How is that even possible? In cooperation with Viva Con Aqua we now want to actually do something and support a water project in Ethiopia. Therefore we would like to collect donations with our participation in the race.
Every dollar helps. We run – you donate!
We can´t tell how big of a donations we will be able to collect here, but we can promise you one thing – WE RUN AS FAST AS WE CAN!
