What’s it about
Dear friends,
I have signed up for a crazy endurance race in Uganda! The Uganda Marathon (www.ugandamarathon.com) Target is to run 10km in 45 minutes on the 5th June 2016!
By running, I hope to raise money for STEP-UGANDA (Support the elderly persons-Uganda) an amazing charity that takes care of Elderly persons and their dependents in Uganda.
I am kindly requesting you to sponsor me for this and I hope to count on you friends to make this happen.
Those elderly persons are often rejected by their society and need someone to listen to them and give them support, they are in urgent need of a new home. STEP-Uganda provides pyscho-social, spiritual support, economic empowerment and daily basic needs for the elderly persons and their dependents, and capacity the community to appreciate aging and support those who are old.
My goal is to raise UGX: 5,400,000= €1,500 and it will be spent on buying a piece of land for STEP-Uganda to establish a Service Center for the elderly persons. It will be the first of it kind in Masaka region and it will accommodate an office, health centre, staff quarters, recreation centre and an Agriculture demonstration centre. The Service centre will benefit the elderly persons and their dependents.
Any donation will be highly appreciated and acknowledged and will greatly enable the elderly persons and dependents to live betters lives.
Donating on betterplace.org is straightforward and secure. Afterwards I pass the money we’ve raised on to the relevant aid projects.
