My name is Jenny Vassileva and I am running the Gozo Half Marathon on the 24th April 2016. I am running for a cause very close to my heart - raising money for the Bulgarian dog rescue Stray Angels Bulgaria. By sponsoring me, you will help stray dogs get a second chance.
I am passionate about running and passionate about dogs! I recently ran The Lisa Maria Memorial Dingli Ten - Powered by Gatorade in Malta (16k). I enjoyed it so much that I decided to participate in more running events in 2016, including the Gozo Half Marathon.
I've always had dogs in my life but never through adoption of strays. A peculiar string of events led me to adopt my dog Ayra Mozzi when she was a puppy in December 2014. More than a year later, I agreed to foster Khali, a 3 year old dog with heartworm disease. Little did I know that my mom would fall in love with her and Khali would become Ayra's sister and take the surname Mishka (Mouse).
I support Stray Angels Bulgaria because the people involved really care about the animals they help. Every single one gets special treatment and is given the best chance for a loving home. Each dog is given with an adoption contract which obliges the new owner to spay/neuter the adopted dog at an appropriate age. Neuter or spay - the only adequate solution for reducing the stray dogs population.
I use betterplace.org because: Donating on betterplace.org is straightforward and secure. Afterwards I will pass the money to Stray Angels Bulgaria Dog Rescue.
