What’s it about

On August 3rd 2005, we welcomed Sander and Quinten onto this world. They came earlier than expected and had first care in neonatology. They needed the care, especially after Sander had a cardiac arrest. Quinten stayed for 3 weeks in the hospital, Sander for 3 months. What is supposed to be the most pleasant period in your life had quite a different outcome. Luckily, we had support of family and friends, a good medical plan, financially healthy,... We saw other families who lost their son or daughter (30 deaths a year) or didn't have the financial bandwidth to buy a new set of clothes for their small child. In september this year, 'VZW Dappere B-engeltjes' was founded to support those in need with small things that make a difference during their stay. A good cause that deserves more attention hence funds. That is why I want to walk the 'Dodentocht' (Deathwalk) - 100 km of walking within 24 hours - and collect funds to support them.

So on august 12th 2016, I will suffer - you support... Make your donation now and make a difference for those children and their parents!

Thank you for your support,

Maarten Van der Biest

News

D-Day -1

M. Van der Biest posted this update on August 11, 2016.
