R. Runners’s fundraising event

Rocket team is running for Khan Academy

What's it about?

We’re a small group of Rocket Internet employees who want to do our part to help improve education in the world. If you want to help in your own way, donating even something as little as 5€ would help us a lot. If you wish to donate, all you have to do is hit the "donate" button that's in the top of the page. If you would like to know a little more about why we think you should donate, please read on.

Hello! We’re Rocket Internet
Our group is currently 25 people from various departments of Rocket Internet: Marketing, Engineering, Product, Finance, HR, et and we expect more to join in the coming weeks. None of us are professional runners or even hobby runners. We’re just a group of people who like a big challenge. Every one euro that gets donated helps motivate us one hundred times more. Having people believe in you is always the biggest motivating factor.

The Facts
Denial: 67 million primary-school-age children are still denied the right to education.
Conflicts: The risk of conflict in countries with higher education equality is almost half that of areas with lower equality in education.
Poverty: Dropout rates of 16 to 24-years-old students who come from low income families are seven times more likely to drop out than those from families with higher incomes.

The project
Khan Academy is a small nonprofit with a big mission: a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. With fewer than 100 employees, Khan Academy serves more than 15 million users each month with over 100,000 videos and exercises.

Here is a list of all the brave souls attempting this run:
