What’s it about

Help me reach my goal to raise 1.500 Euro for our non-profit, non-government organization in South Africa, the EcoBrick Exchange (EBE) until New Years Eve! The EBE wants to re-build a school in a Township, which only consists of a shack. 50 students are currently in Penguins Learn & Play Center, which is headed by the teacher Blommie Nontshinga. In the new building the EBE uses so-called EcoBricks - 2-liter PET bottles, which are filled with non-recyclable plastic waste. Through workshops and training on site, students are made familiar with early environmental awareness and it will provide them with a safe and clean learning environment. The donation process via betterplace.org is safe and simple. betterplace.org forwards the money collected from us directly to the project. If you want, you can keep track of the whole process on this site. Together we can get one step closer to the construction of the Penguins Learn & Play Center!

Another 112 Euro for EBE

Dear lovely supporters,

we have collected another 112 Euro, which I have just transferred to the EcoBrick Exchange's fundraising campaign. Earlier this week EBE won the Climate Change Award in Gold, which is sponsored by the Department of Environmental Affairs of the government of South Africa. A great privilege and wonderful motivation that keeps us going. With todays donation we are yet one step closer to the start of our construction (more funds are needed, but every Euro helps!).

We will keep you posted on more developments!
