We are delighted that our baby Amelie has been born healthy and will have the chance to grow up in a happy, comfortable and safe environment. It is all that one can wish for as a parent.

Young children who have fled their war-torn homes and had to bear a gruelling, terrifying trip across Europe to find a safe haven in Germany. Let's help them begin a happier new chapter of their life here in Berlin, Hamburg or elsewhere. There are a number of great initiatives led by wonderful people who are helping to take care of refugee families and give them a welcome, dignified and easier start to their new but still uncertain life here.
