What’s it about

On 27 September I will be taking part in the Berlin Marathon again. Please support me in raising urgently needed funds for Caritas in Berlin to provide accommodation, food, clothing and medical assistance to the hundreds of refugees from conflict regions arriving in Berlin each day. Many thanks for your generosity!

Am 27. September laufe ich wieder beim Berlin-Marathon. Wegen des dramatischen Zustroms von Flüchtlingen aus Kriegsregionen nach Deutschland, möchte ich diese Gelegenheit nutzen, Geld für die Versorgung der ankommenden Flüchtlinge in Berlin mit Unterkunft, Essen, Kleidung und Medikamenten zu sammeln. Eure Spende geht direkt an Caritas für das Erzbistum Berlin e.V. Herzlichen Dank für Eure Solidarität!

Many thanks to all of you for helping me raise a total of EUR 1,224 which has now gone to the Caritas project for refugees in Berlin. The marathon was a great event yesterday with moral support from the crowds along the entire route. Some had written some interesting messages of encouragement; two which have stuck with me are "Run like you stole something" and "Pain is just a French word for bread" ;-)

Herzlichen Dank an alle für Eure Großzügigkeit und Solidarität! Das war für mich eine großartige Inspiration und der Lauf gestern war auch ein tolles Ereignis. Dank Eurer Hilfe habe ich soeben EUR 1.224 an das Caritas-Projekt für Flüchtlinge vor dem LaGeSo in Berlin weiterleiten können. Ich bin stolz auf Euch!
