Baltic Sea Circle Team 39: Aurora Hunters

Liebe Freunde,

wie einige von Euch bereits wissen, nehmen wir ‒ Martin und ich (Maciej) ab dem 13.06.2015 an einer Rallye rund um Ostsee teil. Unser Team ‒ Aurora Hunters mit der Startnummer 39 - fährt einen Saab 900 „ Ove das Krokodil“ und soll in 16 Tagen insgesamt 7500 km durch Deutschland, Dänemark, Schweden, Norwegen, Finnland, Russland, Lettland, Estland, Litauen und Polen bewältigen. Dabei dürfen wir keine AB fahren, Navigationsgeräte benutzen und der Wagen muss mindestens 20 Jahre alt sein.

Einer der Aufgaben während der Rally ist es Spendengelder zu sammeln für ein Wohltätigkeit Projekt, den wir und der Veranstalter (S.A.C.) auswählen.

Wir haben uns für den Verein LiScha- Himalaya entschieden, den wir schon letztes Jahr bei der Rally Planung durch unsere Freundin Maxi, kennen gelernt haben. Maxi hat uns sehr ausführlich erzählt was Daniela und Steffen (Vereinsgründer) dort leisten: Sie bauen Schulen, kümmern sich um die ärztliche Versorgung, schaffen Einkommensquellen für die armen Familien. Und dies alles ehrenamtlich mit der Hilfe von Spenden und großer Eigenleistung.

Wir würden uns freuen, wenn ihr mit uns zusammen einen kleinen Beitrag leisten würdet und uns helft Daniela und Steffen zu unterstützen.

Dafür können wir jeden Euro gebrauchen und genau gesagt Ziel der Rally ist es mindestens 750 Euro / Team einzusammeln und neben den Projekten des Veranstalters 50 % der Summe an LiScha e.V. zu spenden.

TEAM 39 fundraising for NEPAL .

Dear friends and Saab enthusiasts,

During the 16 days of the BALTIC SEA CIRCLE Rally our team – Team 39 , Aurora Hunters - will drive a 1993 Saab 900, nicknamed "OVE the crocodile", over 7500 km through Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.

The basic rules are: no highways, no SatNav and a car that must be at least 20 years old.
This Rally of course is a big boy’s adventure. And of course it’s a challenge (and a show-off) for the old Saab. But it comes with a very important side effect: CHARITY! To ride the tour we need to raise at least 750 Euros. Half of that goes to charity projects the organizer of the Rally (S.A.C.) supports (http://balticrally.superlative-adventure.com/charity-en.html). The other 50% and everything above the 750 euros goes to a project in NEPAL that we have decided to support: LiScha-Himalaya.

LiScha (from German LIcht und SCHAtten, Light and shadow) is a German charity organization that initiates and supports several projects in Nepal. They do not (yet) feature English project descriptions on their web site www.lischa-himalaya.org, but you get the idea (or use google?). We’ve learned about their work through our friend Maxi while preparing for the rally last year. Maxi told us in detail about the great work that Daniela and Steffen, the founders of LiScha do there: They build schools, care for medical treatment, create sources of income for poor families. They are on-site with their team.

We would be delighted if you could make a small contribution along with us and help us to support Daniela and Steffen.

Especially in light of the latest events in Nepal we kindly ask for the support from the SAAB family. We will try to keep you updated with pictures of OVE on tour…
