What’s it about
On June 18 I will start my journey to Spain where I will walk part of the Camino de Santiago.
My very own camino will take me from León to Santiago, which means a total of 300km of walking in about 20 days.
Most people walk their caminos for religious or other spiritual reasons.
For my part I had a hard time coming up with a better reason than "to slow down for a while" (which is very much self-centered). So in order to find a more selfless approach, I figured giving back to society is a very good reason.
This is where all of you come into play: I would like to raise money for a good cause. The cause is "Viva con Agua" - a charitable organization campaigning for clean drinking water worldwide.
The goal is to raise 1€ for every kilometer walked. At the end of my journey I will donate the open amount that is needed to reach these 300€.

Mit leichter Verspätung habe ich heute den Spendenbeitrag auf 300km aufgestockt und die Spenden an Viva Con Aqua weitergeleitet. Vielen Dank nochmals an alle Spender!! Martina
