Ermöglicht ein Praktikum für Latim Nobert bei VcA!

Im Februar 2013 ist der gemeinnützige Verein Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. (VcA) zusammen mit den Rappern Marteria, Maeckes und dem Hamburger Fotografen Paul Ripke nach Uganda geflogen, um sich über das gemeinsame soziale Engagement für die WASH- (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Projekte der Welthungerhilfe zu informieren.

Im Rahmen der Reise wurde nicht nur das Wasserprojekt in Lira im Norden Ugandas, sondern auch die Makerere University of Kampala besucht und eine Unterrichtsstunde gehalten über das globale Thema WASH und soziales Engagement in Bezug auf die Arbeit von Viva con Agua. Zum Schluss wurden noch die beiden Songtexte „Lagerhalle“ von Maeckes und „Von Level zu Level“ von Marteria mit den Studenten analysiert. Dabei hat die Reisegruppe den jungen Deutschstudenten Latim Nobert kennenlernen dürfen.

Latim Nobert erzählte uns von seinem Traum, eines Tages perfekt Deutsch sprechen zu können und sich für die Menschen in Uganda selber zu engagieren. Daraufhin war die Idee geboren, Latim Nobert nach Deutschland einzuladen. Doch nicht einfach so und ohne Mission, sondern als eine Art Pilot-Projekt für Viva con Agua, um sich im Bereich des interkulturellen Bildungsbereichs auf den Festivals zu engagieren.

Viva con Agua ist im Sommer auf über 100 Festivals im deutschsprachigen Raum unterwegs, um Menschen für soziales Engagement zu begeistern und Spendengelder durch die bekannte Becherjagd zu sammeln für das Trinkwasser- und Sanitärprojekt von Viva con Agua und der Welthungerhilfe in Uganda. Damit Latim Nobert das Festival-Praktikum in Deutschland für sein eigenes Mutterland absolvieren kann, benötigen wir die Gelder, um für Ihn eine angemessene Unterkunft zu beschaffen, die Reisekosten zu zahlen und genügend Taschengeld zum Leben zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Wir haben uns um alle bürokratischen Formalitäten gekümmert wie Visa und Ausreisegenehmigung. Um den Bildungsauftrag von Viva con Agua auszubauen und den interkulturellen Austausch zu leben, würden wir uns sehr freuen, wenn Nobert hier bei uns In Hamburg im Brunnenbüro von Viva con Agua ein Praktikum über sechs Monate absolvieren könnte. Dieses wird als Bundesfreiwilligendienst stattfinden.

In February of 2013, the charity Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.v. (VcA) flew to Uganda, to engage in the collective social WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) projects of the Welthungerhilfe. They were accompanied by the German rappers Marteria and Maeckes, as well as the photographer Paul Ripke from Hamburg.

In the context of the journey, not only the water project in Lira in the north of Uganda, but also the Makerere university of Kampala was visited, and a lesson was held about the global topic WASH, and social engagement in relation to the work of Viva con Agua. Finally, the lyrics of Maeckes' song "Lagerhalle" and Marteria's "Von Level zu Level" were analysed together with the students. In the course of this, the travel party got to know the young Student Latim Nobert, who is currently studying German.

Latim Nobert told us about his dream to speak perfect German one day, and to get active for the people of Uganda. Thereupon, the idea was born to invite Latim Nobert to Germany. Not without a mission though, but as a a kind of pilot-project for Viva con Agua, in order to get active in the area of intercultural education at music festivals.

Viva con Agua is present at over 100 festivals in the German speaking region in the summer, in order to inspire people to take part in social engagement, as well as collecting donations through the infamous cup-hunt (collecting plastic cups from festival goers, and later the deposit) to collect donations for the drinking water and sanitary project in Uganda, which was started by Viva con Agua and the Welthungerhilfe. In order for Latim Nobert to be able to complete this festival internship for his own mother land in Germany, we need enough funding to cover the cost of an adequate accomodation, his travel costs and his spending money.

We have already taken care of all bureaucratic formalities, such as his visa and exit permit. To expand the educational mandate of Viva con Agua, and to live the intercultural dialogue, we would greatly appreciate if Nobert could complete an internship in the Viva con Agua office in Hamburg for six months. This would take place as a "Bundesfreiwilligendienst" (federal voluntary service).
