What’s it about
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow: The devastating follicular decimation of one man's precious golden mane.
We've come up with a hair brained scheme to raise money for Waali! Chris currently has hair to dye for, but to help us raise money he has volunteered to shave off his gorgeous locks. Having only fairly recently joined the Waali team, Chris has put himself in this pretty hairy situation. However, to shave him the embarrassment, Chris will only be getting the chop if we raise enough money! Whilst Waali is on the fringe of making a difference to African education, we need your help. So, please donate and once he's bald, please spare him too many cutting remarks. Once you donate, you automatically qualify for a ticket to watch this momentous event at 9pm on Friday 25th April – venue TBA. We hope to highlight the event with a trip to Laowaitan afterwards, so Chris can show off his new do!
In case you don’t know, Waali is a charity aimed at creating accessible education. We do this by providing talented African students with grants for tertiary education. If you’d like to know more, check out our blog (www.waalibog.wordpress.com/about/ ) or our website (www.waali.org) !
Donating at betterplace.org is safe and easy. Betterplace.org forwards 100% of all donations. You can even track the use of funds. Not only is betterplace.org a great way to raise support, but it provides transparency as well, showing how your donation directly affects the project outcome.
