What’s it about
Yes, maybe, yet that's the adventure I signed up for starting on April 5, 2013!
With my participation at the 'Marathon des Sables' I hope to collect 1,400 EUR (10 EUR per mile) to support ViVA CON AGUA, an NGO that helps to provide clean water in three districts in northern India.
7 EUR will give one person in the project area sustained access to water!
25 EUR will buy one Pot-Water-Filter, providing a whole family with clean water.
I have been to northern India a couple of years ago and have seen the disastrous circumstances to get clean water in the poorer districts.
I would be very thankful if you could help support this great project. Any contribution counts! Your donation will go 100% to the ViVA CON AGUA project.

Clean Water for India: €1,003.00
Dear Supporters,
You are amazing!!! You donated more than 1'000 EUR for ViVA CON AGUA's water management project in Northern India.
The donated 1'000 EUR will help to purchase 40 Pot Water Filter, which will provide clean water for approximatly 140 people in the regions with most need in India!
Thank you also for all your encouraging words before, during and after the 230KM my desert run "Marathon des Sables". I have just successfully finished it. It was an unforgettable event, which challenged me physically and mentally to the extreme. I ran through unbearable heat, over rocky hills and never-ending sand dunes. Whenever I was completely exhausted I thought about all you supporting people around, which helped me to push myself further until the finish line.

Now, the event is finished, the actual "run for water" is not. Access to water will continue to play a very importand role in the world. Therefore, I am proud that we are all already contributing to the development of water access and will continue to do so.
