“Figure the more I donate, the more bricks you can carry and look less like Homer and more like Bruce. Great cause and keep that dome covered! Hopefully see you in Ukraine in January.”

“Fantastic work Myron, I wish I could reach over the pond and give that shiny cone-head a gentle slap. Have fun doing it, and hope it doesnt itch too much growing back, Dawn”

“It's hard to make fun of you for an act of charity, but I'll try. Congrats for embracing the inevitable! Don't burn your head in the Kenyan sun. ”
What’s it about
Sometimes in life one has crazy ideas. As you know, I have them regularly. And this latest one I want to turn into reality:
I WILL SHAVE MY HEAD BALD...
...for charity!
Yes my wonderful round head will be one shinny head, similar to HOMER in the bowling alley episode....
The charity I picked is called CBSM (Community Breakthrough Support Mission). It is a primary school providing education for 350 orphans and vulnerable children between the ages of 3 and 15 in Kimilili, Western Kenya.
I will be volunteering for this organization in Kimilili, Kenya in December! No shower, no electricity, NO MEAT (just rice and beans). I will be swinging a hammer, putting up walls and a roof (and yes they will be straight this time)
CBSM (www.cbsm-kimilili.org) is a registered charity under the umbrella of the Rütli Stiftung (Trust) in Switzerland, founded in July 2011.
What I particularly like about this charity is that 100% of all donations go directly to the needy children as all administrative costs are covered privately by the board members.
I want to help them because the current mud hut needs to be turned into a proper, sustainable building.
For the first classroom to be build, we need 3'000 stones: 1 stone costing 1 Euro
I'm willing to go the extra mile: if we get to at least 3'000 Euros (THATS $4K FOR THOSE IN THE US AND ABOUT 6 LOONIES IN CANADA), I will shave my head!
Pictures will obviously be shared with you! And I want to build more than one room.
Will you help?
I sincerely thank you!
