What’s it about
PLEASE WRITE YOUR NAME WHEN YOU DONATE SO WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE TO SAY THANK YOU!!!!
Donating at betterplace.org is safe and easy and forwards 100% of all donations.
Dani Salamon, Francesca Willi and Rachel Kennedy are cycling from London to Cornwall over three days starting on Friday 21st September.
That is almost 300 miles and we will be starting from South West London, going through Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and finally to Cornwall where we end our cycle.
As well as this being a huge personal challenge for each of us (none of us having cycled more than 10 miles before this!) we are really passionate about the charity we have chosen to support as it will help 49 orphaned children in Kenya to get an education.
If we manage to reach our target (money-wise and distance!), we will throw a drinks party to celebrate and to thank you for your kind support - if that's not motivation enough to donate I don't know what is!
PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
DREAM CHILDREN'S HOME
We came across this charity as we wanted to raise money to help with others education, seeing as we have been so fortunate ourselves to live in a country where you can get such a great education. A friend of ours who lives out in Africa is herself putting a child she met out there through school, and it was such a lovely story that it made us want to do the same. This is a charity she has found and personally knows one of the teachers at the school.
At Dream 49 of the children are orphans and paying for their education is tough. The school is run by a lady called Rachel (her story is on the website) and she is in need of much help from extra class rooms, painting work, teachers, equipment and most other things. Rachel is totally wonderful, totally involved in every aspect, takes care of all the children and as we are choosing to support her, her children and her school she will be sending us reports, details and information of where every penny goes. Please let us know if you are also interested to see these.

Waisenhausprojekt Dream Children's Home: €3,555.00
Hi Simone.
Please pass this on to Dream where it will be spent as I have discussed with Rachel Gichia.
The company I work for does a matched giving scheme and donated £250 direct into Rachel's bank account which will also go towards the teachers salaries so we are not far off the full amount!
Thank you very much for all your help.
Rachel
