Advance education is the surest way of identifying problems affecting the entire community and probably coming up with the most suitable way of solving them. It is no doubt that education is power through which community can thrive in terms of development. Any successful country rely on research carried out through education. Such community is developed both socio-economic and political. Sub-saharan Africa is infested with much diseases such as malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, pneumonia amongst others that kill both children and adults. This part of the African continent has also high rate of poverty that hinders the use of conventional healthcare facilities. besides, the area has high level of illiteracy as majority of Africans do not posses higher level of education. Lack of finance is an impediment to those willing to further their education. I am a student of masters of arts in the Institute of Gender Studies and Anthropology at the University of Nairobi and I specialized in medical anthropology. This area is very sensitive to the health of the entire community . My area of interest is reproductive health; Maternal healthcare choices.The knowledge obtained from this field is crucial in addressing the maternal health and infant mortality problems that is rampant in the Sub-saharan Africa. The community would be sensitized on a right choices to make incase of pregnancy complications and this would avert the rampant maternal deaths and infant mortality. The materials of this study would be available for the healthcare givers so as to have an acceptable and friendly approach in dealing with the maternal problems.
My study in this area has not been completed due to lack of funds for logistics and equipments needed to make it successful. For this reason, I extend my request to friends and well-wishers to assist me raise some funds to enable me complete the program. The knowledge would be used to solve health problems in the community. I would appreciate any donation from friends and well-wishers. The fund needed to complete the program is 350 euros.
