You started a fundraising page – created the perfect look – spread the word online and offline – and got loads of donations?

Awesome! Congratulations!

Looks pretty good, eh? There, all the way on the top, right under the name you gave your fundraising event it says how much money you have collected and how many people joined you for a good cause. It’s allowed to be a little bit proud of yourself! So what’s next?

Let’s say you collected about 300 Euros with your fundraising event – but the project you want to support hasn’t seen any money yet?

Don’t forget to forward the collected money to the project you chose. forward money to preojects

This is your job as a fundraiser. The money collected in a fundraising event will never be transferred to your personal bank account, it will remain on betterplace.org. From there you as a fundraiser have to forward the money to your favorite project – or to many projects. You can choose the specific need that you want to benefit from your fundraising. Remember: A need has to be completed by 100% before the money will be transferred to the organisation.

Done? Great!

The news show up in a blog post on your fundraising page. All donors will be notified with an E-mail, if they agreed to that. Spread the good news and the success of your fundraising event and take the opportunity to thank all your donors. Maybe you might even win a few supporters more – once they see who many people chipped in and how much you can achieve if everybody is working together.

Now that you don’t have to stress about collecting funds anymore, you sure have time to give us some feedback, right?

How did it go with your fundraising? What went well, what needs to be improved? Did you use our tools to spread your fundraising event? How did people react? We wanna know it all! Leave your comment below or send us an E-Mail to support@betterplace.org.
