I just come back from a visit to Smoky’s owner. The purpose of my visit was to explain to him to spend more time for Smoky’s medical care and for her maintains!
But he wants her back right now - for working hardly, but she is still abused!
For this reason:
We have to buy Smoky; the price is 150 € and the surgery costs are
between 150 – 180 €.

  I am a Swiss citizen, who lives and works in Marrakech. The desperate situation of working equides on the streets of Marrakech was a shock to me, and I have began to research ways I could help. This is how I found Helga Heidrich, a wonderful and courageous German woman, who has been saving animals for 20 years, especially since she is based in Marrakech- there is so much to do. Helga's Foundation SOS ANIMAUX has been extremely active in rescuing cases such as Smoky. Her refuge welcomes handicap donkeys, mules and horses, who can no longer pull heavily loaded carts, and would otherwise be dead. I personally vouch for this, and many other Helga Foundation's projects.
