Tandem-Aid is a project supporting education for the blind and visually impaired in Eastern Europe and Cuba. This usually happens through offering help like tandem bikes and reading devices.
As part of this project, in the past there have been tandem trips through Europe (2004: Athens; 2006: St. Petersburg), with more auxiliaries being brought to where they were needed. Additionally, once a year, Tandem-Aid organizes an international tandem camp in Germany with young people from many different countries.

    As part of the international celebrations of the 200th birthday of Louis Braille, the inventor of the braille system, Tandem-Aid is taking a tandem tour to Paris, to make the project more popular.
