25 HIV/AIDS affected and infected women from rural areas of melbuvangiri block of Cuddalore District, Tamilnadu, India, will be helped directly.Migration of economically productive sections of the population is a common feature in Tamilnadu (commercial sex workers / construction workers). Most of the migrant workers are highly mobile and often live in unhygienic conditions. Long working hours, relative isolation from the family and geographical mobility may foster casual sexual relationship and make them highly vulnerable to STI/HIV/AIDS. The burden of People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs) is heavy as HIV / AIDS spreads fast among working people in the district.A goat is a multi-functional animal that plays a noteworthy task in the economy and nutrition of our rural community. In fact, plays a vital role in the lives of those landless, small and marginal farmers especially in rural areas in India. Their adaptability to adjust in harsh environment and low fertility lands adds an advantage to combat scarcity.Goats serve as a source of added income, a security / insurance. There are many advantages of goat rearing; goat meat is a low cholesterol food and beneficial for people who prefer low-energy diet. By this project one woman will be able to earn around INR.40, 000/-per year through goat rearing. which gives her a chance to lead her life in a decent manner by fulfilling her basic needs and also the needs of her and children such as nutrition food, clean water, get ART from the Government hospital, better schooling and higher education, medical care, good clothing etc, in due course, she will be able to get comfortable living with adequate housing and other facilities without burden.
