Wangyal back in Dharamsala

“I am back in Dharamsala – and so happy to start with my new studies soon! I am using colors already as you know and I will send you some pictures of my new works soon! I am so thankful – thanks for all the love and care!!!”

- just a few lines from nilam’s first project beneficiary Tsering Wangyal who just returned back to his Thangka School in Dharamsala after the winter break. He went home to Darjeeling to stay for a few weeks with his family.

They are, just like him, very happy about the change of Wangyal’s fate that nilam funds brought to him. As soon as we receive his new pictures, we will post them on our website.

Die eingenommenen Spendengelder fliessen zu 100% in die Finanzierung von Wangyals Traum, sein Kunststudium in Dharamsala/Indien. Damit er sich nicht um die Finanzierung der Lebenshaltungskosten seiner Eltern und seiner behinderten Schwester kuemmern muss und somit Zeit fuer sein Studium hat, finanzieren diese Spenden zum einen den Unterhalt seiner Familie, den Unterhalt von Wangyal selbst sowie die Studiengebuehren an seiner Schule, der ITTA in Dharamsala. Ein Halbjahr kostet nilam e.V. somit ca. 750€ zzgl. der Ueberweisungskosten, die wir allerdings aus unseren Mitgliedsbeitraegen entrichten. Wangyal dream gets colored, June 2012

After a bit more than a year now, nilam´s first project beneficiary Tsering Wangyal began to work on his first "real" Thangka; the painting isa representation of the WHITE TARA (Jetsun DOLMA in Tibetan), a"white" or "good" patron goddess in Buddhism. Wangyal writes enthusiastically about his thangka on which he had been working for several months already and hopes to finish it by the end of June - then awaiting full of excitement the next task. One day he will be able to draw all the complex images freely and without drawing guide lines which he is still using now. Still it is a long way for him to go, but already now his improvements are witnessing his great devotion and talent. Wangyal sends his warmest greetings as well as his great thanks to all the donators who enable him to live his dream: Thukche che (meaning "Thank you" in Ladakhi)!
