Working with UNRWA, we will be teaching capoeira to 480 children in five West Bank refugee camps. The focus is on children who have directly experienced armed-conflict violence such as arrest, house eviction or physical abuse.
Our team will bring some immediate fun and inclusive activity to the camp. The capoeira will allow the children to express anger and frustration in a safe and healthy way. Our experience shows that children develop their self-confidence, discipline, and respect for new cultures while playing and testing themselves.
With your donation we will be able to give the children instruments and materials to allow to continue playing together for years to come.
