HHNFT Calendar 2013

For the upcoming New Year 2013 the Human Help Network Foundation Thailand has designed a beautiful and creative calendar. The artwork pictures the lives of the children at CPDC and gives a voice to them.

It comes right in time to give it to relatives and friends as Christmas and New Year’s present for 2013. All proceeds from the calendar sales will benefit the children at CPDC.

HHNFT calendar is more than just a nice looking souvenir. It is valuable in manifold ways:

It serves you as a useful calendar which indicates Buddhist, Christian and international holidays. The overview for the year 2014 at the end also gives you the chance to plan already with a longer perspective. It is informative and you can learn about the life of the children as well as their thoughts. It is absolutely beautiful with pictures of daily life at CPDC and lovely drawings of the children. Last but not least, all revenues from the sales will support the work of the Child Protection and Development Centre in protecting children at risk and providing them with a brighter future.

Further details about the purchase: The calendar can be sent by airmail to all countries.  You can pay via credit card using PayPal (www.paypal.com) to toy@hhnthailand.org, easy process without fee for 6 US$ a piece (5 Euro).  For more information, please contact info@hhnthailand.org.

Toffee cooking course entertains children at CPDC

On the 14th and 15th July a toffee cooking course took place at the CPDC. A famous German chocolate professional came to Thailand to visit the CPDC and teach our children how to make German toffees. From now on, all the children can prepare their sweets themselves and needn’t spend money on buying them.

Every child loves sweets, yet only a few know how to prepare them on their own. The children of the CPDC had the chance to learn this great art last weekend, when the German confectioner Karin Ebelsberger organized a toffee cooking course. Indeed, the children did not only learn how to make simple sweets, but Karin Ebelsberger showed them how to make fancy toffees. On each day of the weekend a course of four hours was held and all the children could join. Especially Ton, a 15 year old boy, did his job with passion and skill. Later on the boy wants to be a chef and he is going to attend a vocational training in Sattahip. The “menu” included toffees topped with cornflakes, sugar roasted nuts, muesli bars and chocolate fruits. The children helped eagerly cutting and steering, though the most preferred task was sampling the self made sweets. The finalized candies did not have a long life expectancy either.

We would like to thank Karin Ebelsberger for her initiative, motivation and enthusiasm in teaching the children of the CPDC. She will be welcome any time she wants to pay us another visit.
