Internship/ Volunteer Positions:
- Social workers work with people and families affected with HIV/AIDS to support them through difficult times and ensure that People living with HIV, including children and adults are psychologically supported. Their role is to provide support and help in order to improve outcomes in people's lives.

They maintain professional relationships with vulnerable children and their families, acting as guides and advocates. They sometimes need to use their professional judgment to make tough decisions that might not always be well received by those they are trying to help. Social workers help in supporting either children and families, or vulnerable adults living with HIV and AIDS.

Tasks typically involved:
- conducting interviews with HIV children and families to assess and review their situation;
- undertaking and writing up assessments
- offering information and support; organizing and managing packages of support to enable orphans to lead the fullest lives possible;
- recommending and sometimes making decisions about the best course of action for a particular child and their family.
- liaising with, and making referrals to, other agencies;
- participating in multidisciplinary teams and meetings regarding, for example, child protection or mental health.
- participating in training, supervision and team meetings.
- Any other works found feasible at the field work site.

Requirements
patience and the ability to remain calm in a crisis;
resilience;
flexibility to adapt to new roles, tasks and situations;
initiative, strong observation, analytical and listening skills;
the capacity to absorb legal and procedural information
good organizational skills to work autonomously and plan meetings for a caseload of clients.

For 4 weeks:
Accommodation: Host family : Euro 100
Meals: 3 meals : Euro 100
Airport pick up: Euro 60
