E. Bailie
I am running the Sheffield Half Marathon on the 27th May to raise money for Mwenya Uganda

Mwenya Uganda is a team of Ugandan volunteers who work on the ground in Uganda to make vulnerable people's lives healthier, easier and happier. They are supported by a team of UK based volunteers who raise awareness, funds and publicize the great work of the Ugandan team.

When I volunteered in Madagascar in 2009, I met Elizabeth Bailie who later became one of the founders of Mwenya Uganda.

Mwenya Uganda is a registered Non-Governmental Organisation that aims to improve health in rural communities of Uganda by running mobile medical and dental clinics and education workshops. They are also looking to expand their projects by running a projects specifically designed at reaching out to orphans and vulnerable children. For more information about Mwenya Uganda's projects, please see the "Projects, Helping Uganda Smile" box on the bottom right of this page.
