Roads to grow - support street connected children and adolescents
For various reasons, many children and young people in eastern Uganda live partly or completely on the streets. Often, poverty or conflicts in the families of origin are a reason. On the street, they are exposed to violence and other dangers and often have little prospect of changing their life situation. Funded by the Street2School program and in cooperation with local boarding schools, the participants go to school, where they live and learn with other children and receive meals and care. After a long lockdown with closed schools, classes are finally starting again and the participants can continue to learn and live in a safe environment. We are all totally happy about it, but are also one step ahead thinking about the next holidays already. Since it is now possible again due to the Ugandan corona conditions, we would like to offer good and sustainable care during the holidays in addition to the lessons. As before there will be computer courses, sports activities and cooking courses again. According to our slogan "roads to grow", we believe the Streetways project participants should have the opportunity to continue their education outside of school.
For this we need your support. With your donations, the project managers can also support the participants during the holidays!
We would be very happy about your help.
