In 2017, we worked at the Hospital Arco Iris (HAI) in La Paz. The hospital is located in the center of the city and has enough space for 112 patients. The founder of the hospital is Pastor Josef Neuenhofer who founded it in 2001. In addition to the hospital, numerous social projects have emerged that primarily support local street children. These projects are supported by the association Arco Iris.
The Hospital Arco Iris and the projects, as well as the rest of the country, have also been impacted by the Corona Pandemic. The employees have been working with no, or inadequate, protective measures for weeks. Due to not having any medical masks left, often a scarf is used as protection. We do not want to see this any longer.
Through the help of a non-profit association we could get high quality, certified masks that were already stored in Germany. This greatly simplified and quickened the transportation, communication and quality assurance.
Our goal is to, within a month, reach 16.000 € to be able to purchase 5900 KN95 masks, 5900 surgical masks as well as finance the transport to La Paz.
Therefore we are in need of your help and support!
Thank you for helping to tackle the common global crisis and show solidarity in times that are challenging for yourself - beyond the borders of Europe.
We would gladly answer any questions you may have.
