Volunteer nature conservationists urgently need equipment!

About this project

Salt grass meadows near Greifswald, coastal forests on the island of Rügen and a high moor in Mannhagen - the nature reserves entrusted to the Michael Succow Foundation are diverse and are spread far over Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, among other places. This makes it all the more important for us to have committed volunteers who give their valuable time and energy to regularly check that everything is in order and take protective measures locally. Our volunteers make an essential contribution to the preservation of the unique and diverse regional flora and fauna.

For this important task, our volunteers urgently need professional equipment to be able to carry out monitoring and mapping of plant and animal species as well as practical conservation and care measures. Thus our volunteers not only actively act as nature conservationists, but also as ambassadors of a conscious and balanced approach to nature on our doorstep.

With your donation you can finance the basic equipment (consisting of pruning shears, a spade, a pair of gloves, a handsaw and binoculars) for one of our ten selfless and passionate conservationists - and thus help to secure the biodiversity and unique wealth of the local landscape!
