WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR 2018 FULL OF JOY AND SUCCESS What a busy two months at the end of the school year. Many graduations and activities. Congratulations to our graduated students: Claudia-High School, Ericka-Accounting,  Grober-Physical Education Teacher, Sonia and Eva-High School, Omar-English, Karen Nathaly-Psychology and Marina-Entrepreneurship. Last year we were very proud to have 27 students finish their programmes of study. 21 of the finishing students were girls this year and 7 were boys. We are excited to have so many girls taking advantage of the opportunity to study. We invite you to see our Christmas party  photos where many of our students performed dances, skits, and songs marking the culmination of our school year.  Check out the Salay dance, an older dance that has been revived, Caporales, the Mimes, performed by two of our students and their daughters, and some of our students’ children. WE  SEND  OUR  HEARTFELT THANKS TO ALL OF OUR COLLABORATORS WHO MADE 2017 A SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR SO MANY STUDENTS.
HOW YOU CAN HELP FOR 2018 We are still registering new students as the school year begins on February 5th, and we expect to enroll about 10 new high school students and 15 new post-secondary students. Our next newsletter will have a complete list of the new students, including two new students from Sorata. We hope that some of our friends will consider sponsoring a high school student for about $US 20 per month. This year we hope to build up a better medical fund as we ran short last year.  One time donations toward our medical fund are always so welcome. ACTIVITIES OF THE MONTH THANK YOU Pedro and Juanita for inviting us to your organic vegetable farm for our November meeting about “Masculinity and the Patriarchal System”. How interesting for all our students to visit the greenhouses. Thank you and farewell to Enrique our volunteer from Spain who was part of the team for three months helping with fund-raising. Congratulations to Eva on the birth of her beautiful baby girl. See more pictures in our album November- December.
