Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries on earth. This poverty especially affects the education of children. Though offically there's compulsory schooling the illiteracy is almost reaching 80%! The school enrolement costs money - money most families can't afford. To learn a trade apprentices have to pay aswell.
FANGA e.V. is building a School of Formation in Banfora - in the south of the country - where adolescents which usually can't afford it can get a free apprenticeship as well as learn basic skills as reading, writing and calculating, if they couldn't afford school education so far. At first tailors, carpenter and office workers will be trained. We hope to extend the number of professions over time.
The main building already stands. In addition we sent donated tools, sewing machines and much more from Germany to Banfora to stock the School with qualitive tools.
As a next step the wall around the property will be build, as well as terraces and shelters for the outside work.
You can help us with our lasts steps towards the goal.
