The planning committee hat another meeting in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler at the Dorint hotel where the conference will be held next year to continue with the planning process.

  • We worked with the doctors to complete the program and will be able to publish it soon.
  •  The registration scenario is complete and we can submit it to the company helping us with the organization to have it implemented and hope to have it up and running by the middle of November.
  • The siblings program was discussed and suggestions were approved. We have to discuss the conditions with the organizations that run the attractions to see about getting good conditions for the families. Our aim is to keep the costs for the families as low as possible.
  • We visited 2 occupational schools to present our project to students that are studying special education in order to recruit volunteers to look after our family members affected with CdLS (we are expecting 50-100 persons with CdLS) during the conference presentations. The first response was very good.
  • A newspaper article with picture were composed and delivered to the city marketing department for distribution to the local news agencies. The cooperation within the committee and with the other agencies and companies involved working very well, and we are sure that this world conference will be a great success. We still need financial support! Thanks to all that have donated thus far. We truly appreciate it!
