Botswana is a country of immense natural beauty and impressive wildlife. But the country also has serious problems to contend with, including many orphans and a lack of environmental awareness.
The Knyphausen Foundation is involved in educational work for children and young people on the topics of nature conservation and sustainability in Botswana.
Together with its partner organisation Future Explorer Youth Society (FEYS), the Knyphausen Foundation established a Junior Ranger programme for children and young people at the beginning of 2017. The trainers of the partner organisation regularly travel with the junior rangers through nature and take part in many environmental protection topics in their educational units.
With the help of local experts, the foundation also produces educational material on topics such as "Trees and birds of our homeland" and would like to motivate children and young people to take a responsible approach to their environment through special activities (planting trees, observing animals, camps in nature), education and training.
A further focus of the foundation is educational measures and training for young adults on safari guides and as a multiplier for environmental work with children, in order to improve educational standards in the region, establish and establish new professions in the field of environmental protection and education, and strengthen local partners.
Herewith we would like to ask you for your donation in order to support the young environmentalists in Africa and to implement our projects and educational units!
