The money will go towards continuing to use the kitchen with a functioning fridge and microwave that serves social entrepreneurs working in the field of migration and the migrant entrepreneurs who we are supporting through a training and mentorship programme. The use of this kitchen community space is extremely noteworthy due to the numerous events we hold to foster the community and ensure there is collaboration to avoid repetition. At a later date we plan to have a functioning sink to add to the fridge and microwave utilities and ensure we do not need to use the sink by the bathrooms and perhaps link the water supply to a washing machine. There are substantial funds that have been raised for this and we are in talks with the owners of the building for this to happen.
