Founded in the 80s, the socially minded organisation CEB Managua (Comunidades Eclesiales de Base) pursues the core goal is to help socially disadvantaged kids and adolescents in Nicaragua.
Due to the fact that CEB is a partner organization of the German Red Cross, I am now able to support one of its projects in Nicaragua.
The following year, as an envoy of the World Service in Nicaragua’s capital Managua, established by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, I will complete an international voluntary service. In Managua I will live in a flat with another 5 volunteers.
The project deals with socially disadvantaged children in the poor regions. The center offers this a refuge, supports the children with education and tutoring offerings and offers besides horticulture also leisure offers with sports, theater, art and music.
As a volunteer, it will be my job to support the project team members in their daily activities. This includes care for the children, work and physiotherapy and leisure activities. The Volunteers will organize learning and play groups, a library and promotional offers in leisure time (eg English, sports, works, art, music, etc.).
The aim of the project is to offer the children a family-like home.
However, voluntary services are funded mainly through donations. That’s why I’m looking for sponsors and donors. I would be very happy if you could join me and the project with a donation!
No contribution is too small.
