The objective of our project is the construction of a lavatory as well as a training program dealing with the „basics of hygiene and health care“ for our school in Ghana. As there is no lavatory until now, our children and teachers need to use the nearby field and are not able to wash their hands afterwards. The consequence is spreading diseases.

In cooperation with local partners and craftsmen, we are not only striving to build the lavatory but also to create awareness in regard to the use of hygiene regulations as well as to explain consequences when not paying attention to these. Responsible person on-site will be Victor Plance, a former WorldVision worker, who already realized a couple of similar projects and also has experiences in teaching hygiene regulations.

Our association coordinates and supports the school since 2014. During the past years, we grew a lot so that we can now finance a health insurance and a daily meal for all children as well as the salaries for our teachers by means of our members’ donations.  Above that, we know all involved people personally due to many personal visits in Ghana since 2011. Hence, we can guarantee that 100% of donations will be used for the above-mentioned project as well the progress of our school.
